Drew on 11/23/2010

Comments: This was my first year growing Black Cherry tomatoes and the plant was MASSIVE. It was easily 8 feet tall, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 9+ feet when laid out. It was a heavy producer all season long straight through to November. Region 7a.

My Rating Is:

"Good, but not excellent"

Comments: Though these cherry tomatoes were certainly a novel and decently prolific, I did not think they were much better than some of the great red cherry tomatoes such as sweet million. Part of my problem may have been that I was eating them alongside sungold. Still worth growing at least once since tomato flavor varies from year to year, and palates of course vary from person to person.
