Brandywine

SKU: 1210 Available to ship: Feb 27, 2012 - Jun 4, 2012
Brandywine is the most well known heirloom variety for good reason. It has huge fruit with incredibly sweet flavor. It originates from the Amish in the late 1800's. It is always a staple in our garden because it is so reliable. Starts out pinkish and turns slowly red and then slightly purplish as it ripens. This is the Sudduth's strain of the classic Brandywine. Definitely one of the best heirloom tomatoes ever. Ripens in 80-90 days

"Good Size and Flavor"

Lisa on 9/6/2008

Comments: These are absolutely huge. They are also pretty tasty. They aren't as prolific a producer as some of our other plants, but since they are so big, I guess we don't need as many of them. Great for slicing with a little sea salt and olive oil.

"Brandywine"

Comments: The 3rd year for growing this one was a charm... juicy, yet so easy to slice; yummers! I'll definitely grow this one again next year!
