Costoluto Fiorentino Tomato

SKU: 1264 Available to ship: Apr 28, 2014 - May 27, 2014
A fantastic old Tuscan Heirloom variety with dark red skin and juicy delicious flesh. Shaped slightly flattened with fluted shoulders they are as pretty as they are tasteful. Fruits are typically about 8 ounces, with a smoother shape than the heavily ribbed Costoluto Genovese. The flavor is high in sugar with excellent acid, making for outstanding taste that's wonderful fresh or made into sauces. Fusarium resistant too! Indeterminate 80 days

"My Personal fav!!!"

Cheryl G on 3/21/2012

Comments: These tomatoes are sooooo tasty, that of all the varieties I grow, Carmello is the only one I never share with anyone. They have lots of "jelly" inside which is where the flavor comes from. I make savory tomato tarts with them and the flavor concentrates something wonderful.
