Hot but not too hot, Jalapeno peppers start green and get milder and bright red as they ripen. Perfect for salsa and nachos, easy to grow and productive all summer long. These are great for salsas or pickles. Scoville units are 2,500-5,000 which is hotter than Ancho but not as hot as a Cayenne.

Our pepper plants are grown in extra large 4.5" pots and are generally about 4-8" tall depending upon the variety. Each plant is wrapped individually to hold in the soil and moisture. We ship in large pots to keep the stress of transport to a minimum. Our interior cartons are made to fit our plants. Order any quantity you want, we don't require you to order by the dozen!

Comments: We had such a great harvest that I smoked a lot of these and made chipotle chili powder, and canned lots of chipotles in adobo sauce. My friends loved the jars I gave away.
