Our selection of Roma has exceptional flavor when cooked. It is a longer pear shaped 3-4 oz fruit. They are also very flavorful, especially when cooked and will set heavy crops of fruit, mostly all at once, for canning. Deep red color, great for soups, canning and sauce. 76 days Determinate VFFNA

"Now THIS is a proper Roma!"

gof on 3/28/2011

Comments: Start these early, in a big hole filled with rich soil and you won't be disappointed. This is a surprisingly sturdy plant which will require relatively little support (considering the the volume of fruit it produces). Besides the obvious uses - cooking and canning jars of delicious red sauce - this tomato is absolutely perfect for a Caprese salad. The firmness of the flesh works perfectly with fresh mozzarella and a crisp leaf of just picked basil.

Comments: Great for canning and making sauces. Good disease resistance too.

Comments: I always grow these for making my own marinara sauce but they are also great to slice on a piece of bread and have a sandwich on. Great taste
