Swiss Chard grows best and tastes sweeter in cooler weather and continues well into summer in most areas. Growing in our large 4.5" pots we have seeded 3-4 plants in each pot which can be grown in a clump in the ground or in a large container without separating the plants. Easy to grow with lots of leaf production over 2-3 months.
Note-This plant is not available after May 3rd
Growing Rainbow Swiss Chard is easy and fun for the kids as well as adults because of the wonderful colors available. Allow approximately 18" per pot and plant them up to 3-6 weeks before your last frost date depending upon how harsh your winters are. In the south, we can grow chard all winter long. Pick the leaves anytime after they are about 8-12" long and continue harvesting large and small leaves all summer long.
