Yellow C Pepper

SKU: 1319 Available to ship: Mar 12, 2012 - Jun 4, 2012
The Yellow C Pepper is slightly spicy like a Jalapeno but still sweet enough to eat fresh or pickled with fantastic color. Perfect for Salsa and in salads where a touch of heat is needed. Tall plants are prolific in hot weather areas.

"Great for salsa"

Chris Tucker on 8/7/2011

Comments: These are hotter than jalapenos. I agree with the other reviewer - when I tasted one, it did scream habanero. There is a hint of sweetness behind the heat, but unless you love hot stuff, I would not throw these into a green salad LOL :) best in sauces and salsa.

"Perhaps the perfect hot pepper!"

gOf on 3/28/2011

Comments: Leave the seeds and let them mature until they are orange and you have a heat/sweet combination that is truly unique. Strong - but fantastic. The heat is highly reminiscent of a habanero. Not that hot, but the flavor of the heat just screams habanero. But it is the the depth of flavor which really makes this pepper stand out. It reminds me of an roasted jalapeno or perhaps even a poblano. There is a surprising amount of sugar in this pepper. If you harvest them green, the heat is far more mellow... More details
