"now THIS is a tomato!!!"

Chris on 10/30/2008

Comments: I live in the Baltimore, MD area, and this tomato was my favorite out of the five types I planted! I ate these for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and never tired of their sweet, rich flavor. When you think of what a great tomato tastes like, the Rose de Berne will deliver. The fruits are not that big, but you get a lot of tomatoes, and I was picking them into October. They do extremely well in MD, and I definitely plan on ordering this plant (or maybe two!) for next year.

"Rose de Berne"

Comments: This is a terrific tomato! Plentiful, just the right amount of juice and lots of flavor.

"My favorite tomato"

Comments: I grew this and the Cherokee purple last year. Both were great, but I liked this one a little more. I live in an extremely hot area and this plant did very well and produced alot of fruit. Make sure to continue giving your plants calcium throughout the whole summer, after harvesting my first crop, I lost alot of fruit in my second crop to blossom fruit rot.
