This is the most well known Heirloom variety for good reason. It has huge fruit with incredibly sweet flavor. It originates from the Amish in the late 1800's. It is always a staple in our garden because it is so reliable. Starts out pinkish and turns slowly red and then slightly purplish as it ripens. Very large vines, can grow up to 12 feet if the soil is kept somewhat cool with mulches. Definitely one of the best heirloom tomatoes ever. Ripens in 80-90 days

Oxheart tomatoes have been grown in this country for many years but are relatively unknown. Their huge, deep pink heart-shaped fruits have a sweet rich flavor and are very meaty while still being juicy. Production is excellent and the tomatoes are simply beautiful, but it is the intense tomato flavor that really makes this one special. Originally from Kosovo these tomatoes can grow up to 1 pound but will vary between 10 to 18 ozs. Indeterminate. 75-80 days
