Prolific and Flavorful!, November 17, 2020  By Elaine (Albuquerque, NM)(Verified)
I love the complex taste of a good heirloom tomato. Eva Purple Ball has this. It's a smaller tomato, perfectly round and rosy red, not a maroon color when ripe. The taste is tangy sweet and rivals the flavor of a pink Brandywine. It doesn't crack and produces a lot of tomatoes. I grew it in a 7-gallon felt grow bag, and it still did exceptionally well! I still had small tomatoes on the plant at first frost. It did well in the high desert of hot, dry New Mexico. I will definitely plant again next year!
