This herb is a shrubby type basil plant which can get up to 4 feet high and across. It has lovely pink flowers and a deep musky clove flavor. The leaves are green on top, purple underneath. More ornamental than culinary, this plant has a great scent, is easy to grow and the flowers are just gorgeous! A very nicely scented plant that will draw bumble bees to the garden and keep other pests out!

Great shipment received in great shape, June 3, 2017  By Dana (Mills, WY)(Verified)
Thank you for the shipment of African blue basil. I have gotten shipments from other growers etc and yours is by far the best. These plants arrived thirsty and tired, but I would be also. I took them out add some good organic soil to it, watered them. They will sit in the sun halfdays here for a short while then I will repot them.

We use the basil in our ingredients for special recipe foods. They are great. As well, the African blue is one of the best bee attracters we have used here.
